The KLM Royal Dutch landed at Edmonton International Airports around 4:30 PM after an 8 hour flight from Amsterdam.

Starting today travel between Edmonton and Amsterdam is available with 2 flights a week on Thursdays and Saturdays onboard the blue Airbus A330.
This was an important day for EIA.
“Before Covid we had about 53 non-stop flights. 20 of those were international flights and during Covid there were times we only had 13 non-stop flights so today is a really big day for our entire region,” said EIA spokesperson Traci Bednard.
Bednard says business at the airport might continue to increase over the next couple months. During the pandemic the airport saw roughly 300 departures for individual people per day, that number has jumped too around 6300 now.
” From the airports perspective we’re really optomistic and thats because our community leaders, our business leaders really the entire political region has identified air service as a key driver for our economic recovery.”
EIA has another international non-stop service coming. On September 9th they will be offering flights too Las Vegas.
